I am happy to say that even with the stress of Christmas I have now had a heavy load lifted off of me… fall semester at school is over and grades have been given! I’m done until Jan. 25th. No matter what everyone seems to think I do not get a full grant, I have a partial grant and two student loans which have to be paid back. In order to continue getting the partial grant and continue with my loan I must make C or above in each class. I wasn’t worried about any classes expect Science and Science lab. I have ALWAYS been awful at science! My grades are as follows:

Arthurian literature~ B-

Psychology~ B+

Child Adolescent Dev.~ A-

Science~ B-

Lab~ C

Yes you could say I am stoked!! Now if I could just get my five year old to stop acting like a teenager with her mood swings and the silent treatment I may just finish the Christmas week stress free… hmmm I doubt it!

Awww Monday

I’m sure everyone at some point tries to get a nice picture of their children for the holidays… so you know what I had to go through to get this picture! Honestly, I have a gift I am trying to make and I had to have a picture of all three kids together so I run into the living room and tell them all to go get dressing in something nice! Then I tell them to smile. I assumed this would be simple, I mean they always take pictures and they always do great… I was very wrong! Hair experimenting

If you’ve never combed the hair of a child that has extremely curly hair then you may not be able to feel my pain when I say I absolutely HATE combing my middle child’s hair. It has nothing to do with her being biracial which is what many people think… it has to do with the fact that her hair is so curly that after you brush it within ten minutes it’s knotting back up and God forbid you go a day without brushing it! I experimented with it this week and put a type of relaxer on it and it helped a bunch but I have to admit I was afraid it would make her hair fall out or something so I didn’t leave it on there the whole time limit… yes I wish now that I had but it still is easier to handle then it was.

The above bottom picture is the day after and after waking up from a nap! In case you don’t remember how it looked before here it is beforehand.

New Hair Color

I wanted to do something different with my hair and my loving mother bought me a new color. I usually go blonde since the older I get the less blonde I am! However I really wanted to try something new. Here is the outcome… of course not the best pictures but you get the point. It has actually taken on a different look now that it is completely dry and it looks more dark brown with lines of purple… not sure purple was what I was going for! It’s works though

I very seldom post pictures of myself because… well I just don’t like pictures of myself AT ALL but who can resist pictures with their children? These were taken lastnight during my fiance’s family birthday hour. From top to bottom is Angelika the youngest, Brianna my middle diva, and Brandon my oldest and only boy. One day they’ll look at these and remember how much mommy loves them.

Tackle It Tuesday~ Christmas decorating

It’s that time of year again… I finally talked my fiance into dragging all of my Christmas stuff out of the attic so that I could attempt to decorate the inside of the house in between working and doing my school work! Of course I thought this would take him the whole month of December to do but oh no he proved me wrong this year… he took everything out over the weekend so of course I felt it was my duty at this point to make sure the inside gets decorated before the week is up so that we can all decorate the tree this weekend.

I’ve done a good job so far if I say so myself!

Against Hanging Clothes Outside to Dry… What is the world coming to?

Are you kidding me?! I really truely believe there is so much more to worry about then where people hang there clothes but of course this is why the world is the way it is now anyway b/c people worry about the wrong stuff!

I don’t know if you’ve read the article on Yahoo right now or not but here is the link http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091118/us_nm/us_usa_laundry A woman in Pennsylvania is getting complaints from not only neighbors but the town itself about hanging clothes outside on a clothes line to dry! I’m sorry people but I hang my clothes out on the clothesline everyday to dry. Not only does it save money and the enviroment but I really enjoy it. (Yes I’m strange like that I know). Now I can understand that some people find it tacky and that’s their opinion but how dare the town officials try to dictate how you wash your clothes.

In case my town decides to join the bandwagon I have news for you:

If you don’t like my clothes hanging on the clothes line then honey come pick them up daily, all 3-5 loads, and dry them yourself using your electricity. And by all means after a few months of the dryer ruining them by fading, shrinking, ripping them please understand that it is your responsibility to buy my family more clothes!
